Well.... my two year contract is up and I am long overdue a new cell phone.  When I purchased my current cell phone two years ago, my only criterion was long battery life and decent range and coverage.  I did not send very many text messages and did not plan to start.  Well, I shortly threw that out the window and now am an avid text messager.

It is great to see the US Government using New Media to communicate with the tax payer and to hold themselves accountable to the spending of the Stimulus package.  A website has been built (recovery.gov) that will show the public how and when the billions are being spent and ask for feedback as to the effectiveness.   As Canada is one of the most connected countries in the world, you would think that our government could do the same thing.  What are you waiting for Mr Harper?  Time to join us in this century.

Was watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show the other day and she was discussing an app floating around Facebook titled, “25 Random Things… about me”. Interesting enough I was familiar with what she was talking about and had received this from several of my friends on Facebook. This is a prime example of social media’s power to spread a message like wildfire. Become a Facebook Fan of Hep and follow what we are up to.
